Do I have to break the law to be a maverick supporter?

NO.  NO.  NO.  You do not, and SHOULD NOT, break the law, commit acts of violence, and especially not hurl obscenities.  Only the Master Maverick, John McCain is permitted to Speak The Profanity in Loud Tones, which he would never do because of his peaceful, even temperament, and you are not worthy.  You have free speech rights, but not the right to break the law.  So don’t.

Can Democrats and Independents become maverick supporters too?

ABSOLUTELY!  In fact, I encourage it.  It is one of the tenets of Master Maverick, John McCain to cross the aisle and play nice with the other side, and I, as his humble if slightly overwhelmed student, will do no less.  You are more than welcome to submit comments to the maverick news, suggestions in the maverick email, and buy from the maverick supporter store on this maverick yank site.

In the spirit of Master Maverick, John McCain, I hope that you choose to follow his tireless maverick example, and become part of this new cutting edge paradigm in maverick political support.  I welcome you here, and invite you to return any time you wish, because I’m just as inclusive as he is.

Won’t this cost him the presidency?

Master Maverick, John McCain spent years leading by his brilliant maverick example and showing us, his maverick supporters, the path that we should follow.  I’m absolutely convinced it’s a brilliant plan to use in his quest for the Presidency, even if I don’t understand it.  But then, why should I?  Even as Master Maverick, John McCain’s Bestest #1 Maverick Supporter in the Whole Wide World, I’m still just his humble if slightly overwhelmed student of limited intellect.  I couldn’t possibly understand the intricacies of his godlike thought processes, but I’m sure all of this is intentional.

Won’t this spin off into maverick support for other candidates?

Yes, other candidates will demonstrate their desire for maverick supporters as the Master Maverick, John McCain did by supporting and voting with him.  If they do, feel free to give them their well deserved share of maverick support too.  They have chosen the right path, and wish to bask in the maverick greatness of the Master Maverick, John McCain.  They too deserve nothing less than the best maverick support you can offer them.

Unfortunately, I can’t start any more yank sites about other politicians, because I’m too busy being Master Maverick, John McCain’s Bestest #1 Maverick Supporter in the Whole Wide World.  Lesser politicians are not worthy of my maverick adulation, because no one is like Master Maverick, John McCain.

What if other candidates won’t follow his brilliant maverick example?

Then they are not worthy of your maverick support, and unfit to even grovel on all fours in the shadow of Master Maverick, John McCain and hear him Speak The Profanity in Loud Tones in their general direction.  They deserve nothing more than your vanilla, ordinary support.  Let them suffer the despair of constant re-election until they break down, cry, and beg to be yanked into The Way of Master Maverick, John McCain.

Won’t this annoy him or his staff?

Nonsense.  Again, I’m sure this was an incomprehensibly brilliant master plan he created to garner the Presidency.  Now, while I know they’ll appreciate your maverick support, they’ll compliment to you in codespeak like:

• “This isn’t mature behavior.”
• “John McCain is a conservative, and you’re a dolt for not believing it.”
• “You’re going to split the base.”
• “If he loses, it will be your fault.”
• “He’s the nominee, and you don’t have a choice.”
• “Don’t waste your vote by using the write-in block.”
• “$^%* YOU, YOU CHICKEN$^%*!”

Don’t take any of this at face value.  They’re just saying this so they can lull their political adversaries into a false sense of security by pretending his campaign is threatened from within.  Master Maverick, John McCain will actually love your maverick support, because he spent years being the inspiration for it.

Why are you using the word ‘maverick’ so often?

Because the Master Maverick, John McCain likes it.  He enjoys it when the media describes him that way, and I will do no less than my best for even so small a whim as the desire to be called a maverick.  He wishes to hear it, and so you will speak it when you are being his untiring maverick supporter.

Some suggestions:

• The classical, vanilla ‘maverick’
• The playful ‘mavericky’
• The State of Being ‘maverickness’
• The Honorific ‘Master Maverick’

Don’t forget to use the word or one of its derivatives profusely when he, his staff, or his traditional supporters compliment you in codespeak as I mentioned above in ‘Won’t this annoy him or his staff?’.  I know they’ll appreciate it.

Aren’t you garnering some petty, puerile, personal gain and satisfaction from all this?

Why yes, I am.  As the Master Maverick, John McCain has lead and taught by example, his greatest tenet is that “It’s all about me”.  Therefore, I will abide by it as his humble if slightly overwhelmed student, and garner as much personal satisfaction and gain from being a maverick supporter of his as I can.  You, as unworthy petitioners to the greatness of being his other maverick supporters, should seek to do the same for yourselves.  He is the Republican Party leader and presidential candidate now, and we cannot question it.

Just remember the answer I gave you when you asked if you would have to break the law:  NO.  NO.  NO.  Never do it.
