McCain Is Commenting On Republicans Destroying The Party?

Ok, I concede that when it comes to destroying the Republican Party, John McCain is second to none and has much room to comment.  I’m also forced to admit that his presidential campaign is the defining standard of campaign incompetence in my lifetime, which only adds to his Republican-destroying credibility.  Given these two, its obvious that the man is truly accomplished and utterly credible on the subject of Republican party squashing.  If he was a Democrat, he would be a legend instead of the MSM’s expended idiot.

You can watch the video of him commenting on the House here if you’re so inclined.  He would sound like someone making sense if you didn’t consider his maverick years and his role in Obama getting elected.  In short, he’s part of the actual problem and so doesn’t merit much thought.

Now on to more practical concerns.

Whatever is happening on the payroll tax bill was either caused by a lack of coordination between Boehner and McConnell or the Senate RINOs trying to force House conservatives to do things their way.  Whatever it is, the Republicans genuinely need to get a grip yesterday.  Reid and Obama are running rings around them and have been all year.  The gamesmanship on the payroll tax cut bill, presuming it’s anything other than just plain chaos, is going to leave a mark.

Chipmunk Endorsement Forthcoming?

Well, I might get to post more Chipmunk News in the future after all.  McCain is considering an endorsement, and generally is beginning to act as though he’s actually important.  Romney might get that endorsement, which would lend some credence to the theory that Romney’s sudden departure from the 2008 race was due to a backroom deal where he would get ‘his turn’ in 2012.  Plus, Romney did help out McCain, which is yet another strike against him.

I’m guessing Romney didn’t count on that whole ‘Establishment Republicans losing all credibility and influence with their base’ thing.

Then again, McCain may just stay true to form and endorse Obama again.  He did it in 2008 during his own campaign.  There’s nothing to fear from an Obama presidency after all.  Then he gets upset when he loses and gives all of us he annoyed for eight years a way to tweak him right back.  The One True Maverick Lindsey Graham really just needs to keep him on a shorter leash.

The Chipmunk John McCain Understands the OWS

Most people get annoyed when The Chipmunk John McCain says something, but I no longer understand why.  We can annoy him back since he fumbled his presidential ambitions in 2008.  So quit complaining, get on the maverick supporter train, and become one with the maverick love.

McCain said this:

“Down in Arizona today, Maricopa County has the highest number of homes underwater of any place in this country,” he told reporters Wednesday. “And it’s disgraceful that we took care of the financial institutions, and we did nothing about the housing crisis. So I understand their frustration.”

He later quipped that he may be the “only” Republican does.

He shouldn’t worry.  He fits in nicely with all of his fellow Democrats.

As for the rest?  Yes, he mumbled something about the housing crisis before it happened, but must have decided it was too much like cutting into his mavericky time and didn’t really follow through. Plus, he was one of the driving farces (intentional) behind TARP, as he stopped campaigning long enough to push the bill through Congress and push his own presidential campaign off a cliff.

Even then, he didn’t bother taking care of the housing crisis despite spending $700 billion.  The Community Reinventment Act is still in place.  Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are still intact and ready to do more damage.  Only now, anyone who cares to pile on can remind McCain he blew his one shot at greatness in 2008, and now that he’s the media’s expended idiot, his maverick days aren’t coming back.

Daughter of Chipmunk Does Not Like Parody

It’s been so long since I could post to Chipmunk News.  Today I can get to talk about Daughter of Chipmunk herself, Meghan McCain.  She was apparently so upset about the parodies a fellow named Leon over at RedState wrote about her, she had her lawyers get involved.  She’s claiming impersonation, and while RedState did take the posts down and clarify that she didn’t write them, in the long term she’s screwed.

Leon is a master of Meggiespeak.  If you were fortunate enough to read the posts before they were removed, you know this firsthand.  However, he doesn’t have to risk impersonating her to use it.  He just has to write parody posts under his own name and go for the funnybone.  Seriously, he could get all polysyllabic and stuff, but like, that would suck.  I didn’t know you could get syllables in polyester but that’s so disco which went out in the 90′s or something.  Next thing you know, the punctuation’s going to want mood rings, and that’s totally not fab at all.

She, like her father, built her media darlinghood on annoying conservatives.  Can’t imagine she considered what would happen if we could ever annoy her back.  And we can, or this whole incident wouldn’t have happened.  Now, the bogus will never, like, stop and stuff and it is long overdue to commence with the just desserts.
