What is a Yank Site?
Seeing as how my original description for a yank site was completely lacking, I’m going to clarify a bit.
A yank site is a site aimed at a deserving politician whose only concerns are self-servitude and the pursuit of their own ambitions at your expense. In other words, they keep yanking your chain, believing you can do nothing.
Hence the yank site.
For John McCain, who spent eight years poking conservatives in the eye so he could build his maverick credentials, pursue his presidential ambitions, and bask in media darling-hood at our expense, this yank site is intended to…
- Yank his chain back. He’s had it coming for eight years, and getting mad at him doesn’t help matters. He can use your well-deserved anger at him to make the press love him, and I’m guessing that was the point all this time. Hence the mockery on this site instead.
- Keep yanking the memories of what he truly is and has done during his career out into the open so he can’t dodge his record.
- And finally, to yank enough people into my point of view to make a real difference.
So there you have it. Maybe it works, and maybe I’m back to the drawing board. But that’s the short and long of a yank site.
