You know it’s getting bad when a Democrat tries to defend his seat by joking that Nancy Pelosi might get sick, so he might not have to follow her anymore.

Sucks to be a Blue Dog nowadays, doesn’t it?  Especially now that the myth of your existence has been revealed.  There is no such thing as a Democrat moderate.

They can try like this guy did, but there’s  no running away from Pelosi now.  Their party has done too much damage to forgive or forget.  At the rate it’s going, it’s members won’t even be showing their faces in public anymore.  They’re already not showing them at town hall meetings.

But they can keep trying.  It’s so much fun to watch them try and escape with their jobs.  And when Pelosi has to give up her gavel on national TV while forcing herself to wear a smile, it will be a singular moment in political history.
