Just In Case You Needed Some Congressional Violence…

By Ryan • on June 14, 2010

Hey, how about an assault on a college student?

Well, if you wanted it, you can have it compliments of Congressman Bob Etheridge (D-NC):

Some college kid asks him a legitimate question, and he goes postal.

What’s the matter, Congressman?  Is November starting to get to you?  Had enough of the peasantry?  You and your party have some indefensible positions hanging around your necks like anchors.  Especially that Obamacare vote, which you might have stopped if you had chosen to investigate Pelosi for the Massa incident while you still had the chance.

No, the boy is not to blame.  He asked you a legitimate question.  Had he asked to see pictures of your naked wife, your reaction would be understandable.  Asking whether or not you support the disastrous Obama agenda, on the other hand, is pertinent to the future well-being of the country and within the bounds of reason to ask a Congressman voting on it.

Nor is a bad day a good explanation.  If I was having a bad day and did something like that, I would already be in jail.  If it was my boss or one of my coworkers to whom I had done that, I would be in jail and unemployed.  So would any of the people I know.  Given this, there’s not going to be a lot of patience for you because you can’t meet the same standards conduct to which the rest of us are held.

So take your apology and shove it.  First you should lose your job, then you should lose your freedom.  For those who would like to contribute to that first loss, his opponent this year is Renee Ellmers.
