A Modest Proposal Regarding the RNC

I think Michael Steele may be worried about his job.

He played the race card again in an interview with George Stephanopoulus.  Throw in some babble about winning elections, raising money, and how he’s a streetsmart part of the grassroots network, and you pretty much have his interview.  You can see the snippet at Hot Air.

Anyone else had it with Steele’s Play The Race Card Like Obama show while he bungles everything?  Even Robert Gibbs zinged him on it, and for once, he was right.  However, they’re all minor points considering that there’s no time for Steele follies anymore.

This is one of America’s dark hours.  We need people who are ready, willing, and able to win the upcoming battles against socialism.  There is no time to tolerate the village idiot at the RNC, but they’re not going to replace him because they’re scared of the race card.  Arguments based on the need for real leadership, courage, and patriotism won’t work to persuade them otherwise.

So, we change the argument by giving them a deadline of sorts.  How?  We do everything in our power to shatter the political power of the RNC.  Permanently.

The idea’s not original, because we’ve already started that on all three Republican national committees anyway (RNC, NRCC, NRSC).  We donate directly to the candidates or to PACs which are reliably conservative.  We have the Tea Parties.  The trick now is to take it to the next level so that good candidates can be identified, supported, and elected wholly without the inept interference of the Republicans beyond the convenient “R” after the candidates’ names.

This is going to take some time, especially since the next step is to completely bleed them of all their big donors.  The idea is that if they wish to continue existing as political forces at all, they’ll have to get in line with the times.  That’s the “time limit” I mentioned above, which will come into play in one of two ways if we manage this.

  1. They’ll be terrified enough to become real forces supporting real constitutional conservatives, thereby regaining donations and help again.  In the process, fools and prima donna committee members will not be tolerated or retained.  Or..
  2. We’ve utterly destroyed them, and the Republican Party’s only hope for getting their people elected at all is to choose those candidates acceptable to grassroots conservative like us.  This will be because only the grassroots have money, manpower, and the capability of vote delivery.

Either way, we win.  Such is my modest proposal to expand what we’re already doing and make it “sink or swim” for their leadership.
