I can’t say I’m happy with retractions, but I’m forced to admit some of my predictions prior to Obamacare’s passage were off a bit.
It appears the individual insurance mandate doesn’t kick in immediately. In fact, it doesn’t kick in until 2014. And everything else, like the taxes, just kind of trickles forward until the benefits start along with the mandates in 2014. So I goofed on that immediate change, and I’m owning up to it now.
So as for the rest of it?
- Good news all you liberal business-haters. Catepiller and John Deere are saying how much the new mandates and taxes will cost them. My suggestion is to cut costs by finding all the employees with Obama bumper stickers on their cars and inviting them to spend more time enjoying their new socialist utopia. With a pink slip.
- I’m pretty sure all of those people I said would be infuriated by this are…well, not a complete list. Everyone’s going to be mad soon.
- And the big one I didn’t see coming: Obamacare has been endorsed by Fidel Castro. No, I’m not kidding. This time.
So good news, Democrats. I was wrong about the immediate results, so you get to laugh at a conservative. The bad news? The truth is worse, especially for you, and even your “no” votes won’t save you now. Have a nice day.
Fidel Castro would always be an icon of history evethough he is against the U.S.’~’
