After and a bruising opening round, McCain’s primary campaign has been paying dividends. Instead of that pesky 53% – 31% edge he once had over J.D. Hayworth, he’s changed the numbers to 48% – 41% in his favor. That’s right. After all that work, financial expenditure, viciousness, and the diligent efforts of friendly blog trolls, McCain has managed to reduce his lead from 22% to 7%.
After his sterling campaign against Obama, I would expect no less. The man is an electoral miracle to have done so much on his own behalf and lost two-thirds of his ground. Keep up the good work, John McCain. I knew you had it in you.
