They Have a Point About J.D. Hayworth

By Ryan • on March 9, 2010

For those of you not already aware of them, I’d like to introduce you to the Sonoran Alliance.  They’re mainly concerned with conservative politics within the state of Arizona and with their own politicians, but today, they make a great point about J.D. Hayworth.

A point with which I agree, and that is support of McCain’s first real primary opponent in a good long while is not what it should be.

Folks, we’re looking at the real possibility of another six years of McCain.  The span of time between the start of the second Bush term and now.  We all know his trending as well as they do in Arizona, and that he will turn back into a Democrat the second he’s re-elected.  Given the outlook on Democrats in November, that will probably occur if he wins the August primary for want of any real chance of defeat in the general.  For some clue as to what his behavior will be, do some research on the recent activities of Lindsey Graham, Designated Dumbass, who will have company if and once McCain saves his maverick electoral hide.

Our best chance to stop him is Hayworth, and I don’t know anyone outside of the occasional troll who could say he’s worse than McCain.  If he wins, the RINOs run scared a while longer and the most optimally-placed Democrat ally in the Senate is gone.  If McCain wins, it’s six more years of “my friends,” “reach across the aisle,” and Gangs of Fail.  And he will drag much of his party along with him this time, because now he’s also a former presidential candidate with massive seniority to boot.

I’m in, former comments to the contrary notwithstanding.  Now is the chance to put up a fight, or we can all live with six more years of helpless frustration once McCain starts doing what we know he will again.  It’s your biggest chance yet to poke the RINOs in the eye for a change, if you get to work.

I have a rock garden. Last week three of them died.
