Paul Broun for President!
It’s been a while since I’ve handed out a Pitbull Award. Today, Representative Paul Broun has earned one in spades.
His remarks on Obama’s “incorporation” of Republican ideas into what I suspect will be his still-disastrous next attempt at a healthcare takeover were inspired. The quote of the day?
Snookie, from the Jersey Shore, has more substance than President Obama’s offer.
Then he goes on to lay out what everyone wants vs. the garbage that’s in this bill. You can read the whole snippet at Hot Air. Paul Broun for President!
If this latest incarnation of the health care nightmare is as I suspect, Obama’s latest attempt to pass health care won’t be much different than his original attempts. However, he’s added some token gestures he’ll claim are compromises with Republican ideas in the hopes that he’ll either peel off a few moderates or be able to portray them as mindlessly obstructionist when they see through his crap. Broun gave the obvious reaction in a way we wish Republicans would fight most of the time.
You can assume this bill is another bag of tricks for the same old bunk if…
- They try to cram it through without giving anyone time to read it.
- The CBO doesn’t have time to score it.
- Votes occur backed up against holidays.
- You get more sob stories and panic plays by Democrats.
- Some or all of the above.
Good to see Republicans have some fight. Thank you, Representative Broun.
