Wishing the Green Police Were More of a Farce

Super Bowl commercials are usually funny, awesome, or in some way worthwhile.  This year was no exception, but one ad may have hit a bit closer to home than it should.  It’s the Audi “Green Police” ad.

This one:

The sad thing about it is that it’s approaching the truth. We have a government that would happily love to run roughshod in this manner in the name of “environmental responsibility.”  And unlike the ad, they wouldn’t be the least bit funny about it.

Take Obama’s EPA and their politically motivated carbon ruling.  They’re going to start regulating the stuff shortly if Congress doesn’t pass a cap-and-trade bill or some way to stop them.  The fact this ruling is based on science which has proven to be highly suspect since the Climategate scandal has nothing to do with anything to them.  Obama’s EPA will just start leveling the economy anyway for no good reason, under the pretensions of protecting the environment.

So I find myself wishing the Green Police was more of a farce, and less of something that could actually happen.  We’re getting close to that point, especially if Obama’s EPA carries through with its regulations.

Comedy, like Medicine, was never meant to be practiced by the general public.
