Obama Wants to Have Another Get-Together
Obama told Katie Couric in an interview during the Super Bowl pre-game that he wants another photo-op with the GOP. Oh, he didn’t use those terms, of course. He called it a bipartisan summit where he would discuss health care ideas with both parties.
I’m thinking it’s going to be another televised lecture. He received a short approval spike after the last one of these he gave them, and I suspect he’s looking to do it again. Fortunately, the GOP seem to have realized this, and put forth a few conditions of their own.
Obama certainly seems to scold and lecture everyone quite a bit. Someone needs to inform him that everything he knows isn’t actually so. Arrogance, elitism, and condescension are no substitute for the ability to actually do things right, which he utterly lacks. But I digress.
The Democrat health care bill is a disaster in the making, possibly by design as a Trojan Horse to single-payer. The GOP should be encouraged to be the party of “no” on this. Everyone else has been screaming “no” for a year now. They’d be agreeing with the majority in this instance, and might even get re-elected to boot. Or, they could lose control of a few RINOs who’ll help pass the bill, get their entire party blamed for it, and go down the drain for the last time. Their choice, and given what I’ve seen from them over the years, it could go either way.
They should leave Obama to his cameras and bury Disastercare. America would be better off without it.
