The Demon Sheep Has Spoken

By Ryan • on February 4, 2010

cuckoo_clockLet’s start with two words you never thought you’d hear together:  “Demon sheep”.  Now, imagine them describing a political ad.  An ad generated by a supposedly serious candidate in an attack on her primary opponent.  If you do, you’d get Carly Fiorina’s newest ad.

Yes, it’s gone viral.  In some opinions, this makes Fiorina brilliant.  The same brilliant person that ran Hewlitt-Packard into the ground?  All well and good to go viral, but not so much if all your video does is convince everyone that sees it that you’re a hallucinating schizophrenic.

Here’s the vid.  Beware of the demon sheep…

This ad is a disaster.  It’s too long, it’s all over the map, and the demon sheep is both the viral agent and the reason no one could possibly take Fiorina seriously after watching it.  Yes, she makes some points about the record of Tom Campbell, but bungles the rest.  This ad says more about her lack of judgment than his record.

It makes me glad I’m supporting Chuck DeVore.  You can visit his Demon Sheep web site here.  And seriously, what’s next?  What if this catches on?  Could we be looking at attack ads aimed at Sarah Palin the CthuluMoose or “Wicked Woodchuck” DeVore?  Feel free to leave your votes in the comments.
