Of Course McCain is Attacking Hayworth
Politico has an article today summing up some of the shenanigans McCain has thrown at Hayworth. Yes, the two pictures of them there aren’t exactly their best angles, though I find McCain’s quite apt because it sums him up so well. My reaction to the article is that of course McCain is attacking Hayworth. How dare a Republican run for the Arizona Republican Senate nomination?
This behavior against Hayworth is nothing new. In fact, it’s true to form. McCain has been attacking Republicans and supporting his fellow Democrats for years…
- He’s a cap & trade proponent
- He’s an amnesty proponent
- He at least pretended he was considering making his actual party affiliation official in the past
- He helped drive the McCain-Feingold 1st Amendment abomination bill to passage
- He helped stop the Bush tax cuts from being permanent
- He stopped campaigning to vote for TARP, the bill that started the never-ending bailout
- He’s the man most responsible for turning Lindsey Graham (Pomeranian – SC), previously a worthwhile conservative, into his mini-me.
- He was a thorn in the side of Bush for eight years because Bush supposedly done did him wrong in the 2000 South Carolina primary.
He gleefully attacked other conservatives too and left the 11th Commandment to the lesser politicians while saying stuff like this about Obama:
And now, after eight years of effective obstruction and undermining for his fellow Democrats, he’s in a real fight for his career? It’s no wonder he has a picture in the Politico article that looks as though he’s ready to Speak The Profanity in Loud Tones! Why would Arizona want a real choice, when it could have McCain, quite possibly the finest Democrat who has ever lived?
P.S.: Now, I’m going to admit that my opinion of this primary can be summed up as “support the guy who has the best chance of getting rid of McCain”. Hence me being all over the board with Jim Deakin and Chris Simcox. This time, I’m going to wait until Hayworth is actually officially declared and in this one for real before coming down on the side of a candidate again.
