The Tea Parties Visit Nancy in Washington

teacupThere may be a vote in the House on Disastercare Saturday, but the Tea Parties are giving Congress hell about it now.

Furthermore, the Republicans are fighting today in earnest.  Not only do they have an alternative, but it’s been rated by the CBO.  No new taxes, and everyone’s premiums go down.  It’s minus the power grab though, so the Democrats won’t like it.  You can read more about it at Michelle Malkin.

So now the question is, how many Democrats are feeling good about the bill and the Saturday vote?  A lot of them are looking at ending their careers if they vote for it.  Not all the country is a liberal district after all, and this is especially true of the Blue Dogs.  It’s time to see if the arm-twisting overcomes the well-developed sense of political self-preservation most Democrats possess.

As to the RINOs?  If they forget that Democrats do things like negotiate minus the good faith, want little more than power grabs, and otherwise do nothing but damage to the country, I remind them of Scozzafava.  Yes, her 11th hour betrayal of the party that backed her longer than we did cost Hoffman the seat, but is that really all they want from their own careers?  One last bitter moment of revenge before unemployment?  It can be arranged for them too.
