The Precinct Project

flag_dogFor a while now, I’ve seen (and offered) the occasional idea as to how to get conservatism back on track, and thus put our country back on track.  Third parties, power-brokering, and end runs around the GOP leadership have all surfaced from time to time.

This is another idea that sounds solid enough to work.

It’s call The Precinct Project, and you can find it’s home blog here.  Essentially, the idea is to get conservatives into precinct committeeman positions so they can have a direct influence on the GOP’s internal decision-making process.  The end result would be to take over the machinery from the idiots currently running it.  You know, the idiots that could do something like make a decision to run Scozzafava in a conservative district.

It sounds like a solid plan.  It would remake an existing party, the GOP, into a real opposition party without having to start from scratch.  It takes advantage of real conditions (the power and current shortage of GOP precinct committeemen).  And according to the site, it’s been used successfully before by Obama.

If you’re looking for a plan, check out The Precinct Project.
