Thank You, Mike Dukakis…uh, Huckabee

rhinoNo jokes now, folks.  It’s zero flak time.

It’s really simple.  A violent felon named Maurice Clemmons is wanted for questioning regarding the deaths of four police officers near Tacoma, Washington.  What makes this especially tragic is that this man was granted clemency by Mike Huckabee and didn’t even have to be out of jail.

Except, of course, for Huckabee’s bad judgment.

Yes, that Mike Dukakis…uh, Huckabee.  The same genius that helped McCain cinch the Republican presidential nomination in 2008.  Still, if you needed another reason not to support this RINO ever again, here it is.

He released a message on Huck PAC regarding the release, but didn’t mention his role in it.  Surprise, surprise.  Just another liberal shifting blame.

Update, 12/1/2009Clemmons is dead.  He was shot by Seattle police.  Personally, I’m not going to miss the guy.

Oops, My Bad on the Data…

tanningMore fun on the global warming, East Anglia CRU front.  As reported at Hot Air, they threw out the raw data concerning global warming.  Or at least, that’s what they “admitted” after being forced to reveal it under a Freedom of Information request.

That “admission” alone should be enough to discredit the “consensus” that global warming exists and is being caused by man.  However, I find it highly more likely that the information isn’t lost, but concealed.

Given that…

  • People are being bullied into silence over opposing AGW
  • They’ve already been exposed faking data
  • People get grants to prove AGW exists, and lose them for disagreeing
  • Quite a number of people, including Al Gore, have a lot to gain if the anti-AGW laws ever pass
  • Not to mention the fact it’s a great power grab for Europe and the US

…it’s probably more like stonewalling.  This explanation would fit better with every other action taken to protect the “consensus” on AGW.  It’s just that the best they could manage in this circumstance was simply “Oops, my bad on the data…” and look embarrassed.

There are countries ready to spend trillions over this, not to mention wreak economies and steal freedoms.  Some countries are already inflicting global warming “cures” on their populations.  But after this, doesn’t global warming legislation somewhat lose its shine?  Don’t you just love Lieberman, Graham, and McCain for trying to create it now?

Pleasantly Surprised at the News Lately

dive_elephantDid you ever believe that, in the midst of a Democrat-caused rout against their inept opposition, that so much good would be underway?  Me either, until I saw it happen.  Count it as one more thing for which to be thankful.

For those gloomy from the endless fight against Obama, here’s some good news that’s happened under his watch I’m sure he didn’t want:

  1. ACORN:  They’re under assault despite the placement of their preferred government, and they’re losing.  Document dumps, employees caught on tape advising pimps, and other goofs could well lead to their ruin.  Credit to Breitbart, Giles, and O’Keefe for getting the ball rolling on what could wind up being the effort that ends this bunch.
  2. Global Warming…busted:  First, the hacked emails in Britain showing data fudging and suppression of dissent, then New Zealand.  This scam is slowly being exposed for what it is.  It’s not dead yet, but its a worthwhile one-two punch for starters.
  3. Infuriated independents:  I’m an independent conservative that never had any faith in the Democrats.  Now, a lot of otherwise undecided independents are starting to share that view.  They’re probably the reason for the current legislative rush, because the Democrats know they’ll get pummeled for their extremism in 2010.
  4. The disposal of Democrats infesting the Republicans:  A lot of people are starting to realize that the Republicans are worthless as an opposition party if it retains its Democrats.  The Republican machine spins it as the “big tent”, but there’s a world of difference between tolerating a few differences from people willing to work them out with you and favoring those who turn on you without warning when the chips are down.  Scozzafava found out the hard way that this won’t be accepted anymore, and I suspect a few more mislabeled Democrats will again in 2010.  Heck, this site is dedicated to undermining the biggest mislabeled Democrat in the Republican party today, The Mavericky John McCain.

We’re making headway.  It doesn’t look good at first glance, but if you dig a bit, there’s cause to be pleasantly surprised at the news lately.

Happy Thanksgiving!

carHappy Thanksgiving, everybody!

I hope you enjoy the holiday.  Unlike a lot of retailers, I don’t even think of Christmas until Thanksgiving is over.  It’s not that “pesky whatever holiday between Halloween and Christmas” for me.

If you happen to need something else to be thankful for today, thank New Zealand.  It seems they’re piling on to the global warming SNAFU.  At this rate, the AGW global warming scam will just get too big to ignore, and we can all laugh about how the MSM has been scooped again because they’re trying to ignore it away.

As for me?  Thank you for being a reader.  I’m glad you came to visit.
