“You Can’t Say That on Television!”

By Ryan • on October 27, 2009

I suspect that’s what a lot of Democrats told Barney Frank after this:

You’re not supposed to say things like “we are trying on every front to increase the role of government in the area of regulation” out loud, Barney.  It annoys the normal people who are full well aware of what government regulation does when it’s over-applied.

Not to mention that the topic of this video was derivatives.  If they were talking about the subprime mortgage derivatives, they can thank the Community Reinvestment Act and all the blunt force trauma used to ramp it up in the 90’s.  More of those regulations which Frank loves so much that caused a tsunami of repercussions on our banking industry not so long ago.

Thanks, but no thanks.  You can keep your additional regulations.
