Palin Endorses Hoffman in the NY-23 Race
Let’s cut to the chase. Palin endorsed Hoffman in the NY-23 race, and it’s paid off for him (read the report at Hot Air).
From this point, it’s amateur punditry time, where you’re free to add your guess to mine. Today, it’s a guess of “what happens next?”
- If Hoffman wins, the Republicans will be put in a position where a dumb leadership decision will have put a third party on the map. It’s safe to have every confidence that they’re dumb enough to ignore it and continue moving left. Yes, I’d like to believe they’ll figure it out, but realistically, I don’t.
- If the Democrat wins, the Republicans will be in a position where a dumb leadership decision put their opponents in power in a supposedly safe district. Expect some namecalling if that happens, and a bunch of snarky trolls screaming “Well, what did you expect? Are you happy now?“
- If Scozzafava wins, hope that the alarm clock goes off because it’s a bad dream. However, her win seems highly unlikely.
