There is No Common Ground, Governor Jindal

By Ryan • on September 30, 2009

crystalballHotMES has a nice posting on a quote from Jindal.  You can read the long version here, but one of the lines from it can be paraphrased as “Let’s work with Obama on health care in a bipartisan way”.

There is no common ground, Governor Jindal.  How’s the “bipartisan” going to happen?

Obama wants a power grab and is calling it health care reform.  If he can make it a bipartisan power grab, all the better.  That way, his party gets more power and doesn’t have to own the damage they caused to do it.  He has no real intention of making health care better for anyone.

In fact, sir, has anything that Obama has done struck you as the kind of thing that would make America a more prosperous, stronger, and longer-lived nation?  I haven’t seen it.  I see debauched currency, losing face in the world, not taking the threats against us seriously, and pay-offs to special interests.

We don’t need any more Rockefellar Republicans.  You had it right when you cut funding for ACORN and ran as a conservative.  You’ll get it right again when you start being one once more.  If you ever were one.

Life is divided into the horrible and the miserable.
