Here are three words I didn’t ever think I would see together: “Conservative Public Option”. And yet there they are, plain as day.
I’ll grant that after eight years of confusion by Bush, someone might associate the word “conservative” with liberalism. Bush sure as heck didn’t have a problem with it. Some people even think that might have been the idea. But “conservative public option” is just not right.
I even know the context of the quote, which is reported at Michelle Malkin. Yes, the plan may be a more conservative version of the full-blown public option, but it’s still a PUBLIC OPTION. That’s socialism, folks. The same socialism that hasn’t worked anywhere it’s been tried. You’ll find that out for yourself if this monster of a bill passes and becomes law. Your head will spin at how fast the rainbows and unicorns will go away.
There is no socialist utopia. There is no “conservative public option”. It’s just that simple.
