We’re Sorry About the Plane…

By Ryan • on April 27, 2009

I couldn’t do something this ridiculous, and most of the time, I’m actively trying.

A photo opportunity caused by Air Force One and a pair of fighter jets over New York caused a panic.  The NY Police said they had been told about it, but were told by the Defense Department to stay quiet.  But don’t worry, the White House apologized for it.  However, there was no word as to whether or not their spokeperson pointed at the sky and yelled “The plane!  The plane!

Having a large plane tailed by fighter jets fly over New York after 9/11?  Osama bin Laden must have laughed himself senseless by now.  But, if Obama’s reaction to the Tea Parties was any indication, he probably wasn’t even aware that this happened.  Kind of like his awareness to what’s going on around him every other day.

So, if you’re having a bad Monday, be glad you didn’t have a day like they had in New York.

Addendum, 4/28/2009:  And now for the even more stupidThey knew in advance that this little flight might cause a panic.
