Meghan Who?

No jokes now, folks.  It’s zero flak time.

I suspect my millions upon millions of blogging readers, who are always around until the alarm clock goes off and I wake up, are wondering why I make no mention whatsoever of Meghan McCain.  Yes, I know about her comments.  Yes, I know about her book.  And yes, I know that just like her father, she’s become a bit of a media darling.  So why don’t I attack her like the abrasive conservative I supposedly am?

Because I’ve seen this before, and I don’t want to play.

I don’t attack Meghan McCain because I give her absolutely no thought whatsoever.  She’s a non-entity media construct that’s only in the national spotlight because darling daddy was so good at getting all of us angry.  I don’t care about her book, because just like Obama’s two paper wastes, it was written by someone with no experiences, no achievements, and no substance who only got published because of her relation to someone else.

To my fellow conservatives who have been annoyed into acknowledging her existence, I respectfully remind you of the technique the maverick media whore used and which his daughter could emulate.  Attack her, and her coverage grows.  The more you scream to make her go away, the more she can stick in your ribs because the media will just love the frustration and rage she causes you.  In other words, she can use you as stepping stones too.

Hence my conclusion:  I don’t want to play, and don’t recommend you do so either.  To simply get mad without thinking of a better countermove to the media or Democrats means you are theirs, because you can be predicted.  They attack, you defend by getting mad, and it doesn’t really work.  I realize that you become indignant because you want to support your principles, and I agree.  My argument is only that you broaden your repetoire of tactics.

So do what I do with the maverick princess, which is nothing.  Don’t give her any thought, coverage, or comment at all.  If someone asks you about her, the answer is “Yeah, whatever” or your preferred dismissive response.  She’s a mayfly who is not worth your time, and if you assail her simply because the left supports her, you’ll be hearing about her forever.  So if you don’t like her, don’t shift your principles, just your approach.

Addendum:  I completely forgot to mention her latest book deal.  As I only wrote this post to give my opinion to my annoyed fellow conservatives, I’ll just warn you right now not to expect to hear about it, or her, on this site again anytime in the near future.
