Today’s Captain Obvious Moment

This just in:  Democrats are fiscally irresponsible and disconnected from reality.

Yes, Obama will sign the bills despite the earmarks.  If it weren’t for the earmarks, he couldn’t get anything done.  Yes, his math is fuzzy.  Yes, it’s hard to imagine that the reason he was elected is because both parties fielded Democrats in the last election, and the best Democrat won.

Despite this fact, the Master Maverick is complaining about the pork, so I as his Bestest #1 Maverick Supporter in the Whole Wide World will take the time to point out again that he voted for TARP, which makes his whole “I’m a fiscal conservative” argument completely bogus.  Plus, he lost the Presidency over it.  And just because I’m a really good maverick supporter, I’ll also take the time to remind him that if he hadn’t betrayed his own base for eight years, he’d be President today.
