Do you know who’s voicing his opposition to the $825 Billion dollar faux stimulus bill?  None other than the Master Maverick himself, John McCain.  It’s only been a few months since he supporting the $850 Billion dollar Paulson plan ($700 Billion dollars in spending and $150 Billion dollars in pork grease to get it passed), so his change of heart here is nothing short of brazen.

In fact, it’s so brazen, he almost meets the gold standard of brazen set by another of his fellow Democrats, Bill Clinton.

It’s more maverick brilliance, folks.  It’s a flip-flop so audacious that it can’t possibly fail.  If you’ll remember, not only did he vote for the Paulson failure, he stopped campaigning long enough to drive the bill.  And yes, he created more than a few maverick conservatives in the House in the process.  Now, he’s standing up and actually trying to get us to buy that whole “I’m a fiscal conservative” thing again.

Stand in awe of this, you the unworthy, and know that you will never manage half the brazen the Master Maverick could.
