Bush and Some Last-Minute Environmentalism

By Ryan • on January 6, 2009

Bush designated three remote Pacific island chains as national monuments and marine preserves, which may soothe critics of his environmental record for all of 30 seconds.  Even now, the man can’t figure out that Democrats don’t deal with Republicans in friendly terms whatsoever, except when they’re trying to dupe them.  The New Tone cannot be as long as the other side isn’t interested in it.

Here’s an original thought.  If you want to engage in environmentalism, come up with a version that doesn’t include the modern ‘environmentalist’ movement’s desire to gut the US or change it into a socialist cesspit.  In other words, a version of environmentalism that’s only interested in the environment.  Yes, the critics will scream, but they’ll never be happy with the Republicans under any circumstances anyway.
