Burris Blocked from Becoming a Senator

By Ryan • on January 6, 2009

Roland Burris certainly wasn’t welcome in the Senate today. He was denied entry to the Senate chambers because of the scandal surrounding Blago, which means the Democrat-controlled government will be starting its three-ring circus even before Obama is sworn in as President.

For better and most certainly for worse, this year is already shaping up to be a wild one. We’re only six days into it, and the flak has already begun. Unfortunately for Reid, the law seems to favor the conclusion that Burris is legally the new junior Senator from Illinois, whether he likes it or not.

What do you think? Is Reid going to backpedal, or just break the law?
