Some Republican Governors Urging Stimulus Bill Passage

Don’t you just love it when the Republicans still don’t get the point?

Apparently, some of them still want the “stimulus” bill passed.  Despite the fact it’s $825 Billion dollars of wasted, useless, and porkbarrel spending, it does contain money for the states.  The states are suffering shortfalls of their own, and so some Republican governors are trying to take the easy way out.  Screw the value of the dollar and the future economic well-being of the country, just start shoveling some newly printed cash.

Some others don’t want it, and you can read more here:

Welcome Aboard the Maverick Courage Award

Ah, a protest after my own heart.

Apparently, Mitch McConnell needs our help.  He’s trying to sing the praises of the maverick paradigm, and requires some reminders that he’s on the right path.  It’s a great thought, and I previously suggested something like this with The Maverick Courage Award.  Now, RedState has found an appropriate recipient of such prestigious recognition.

The Pigs Want Their Feeding

It’s no fun to own the pork, is it?

Well, it seems some Democrat interest groups, like MoveOn.org and the Service Employees International Union, are running ads to pressure Republican senators to vote for the $825 Billion dollar boondoggle.  It doesn’t matter that it won’t work, just pass it.  I’m sure they get a lot of time in the slop if it does, since 30% of the bill is earmarks and the rest is either special interest payoffs, state bailouts, or junk.

As far as I’m concerned, they can go squealing to someone who cares, and suggest that the Senate Republicans follow the House’s example.  They’re not going to want to own this one when the inflation starts and the payment comes do on this massive epic fail.
