McCain Panders Like a Master to La Raza

No one panders better than the Master Maverick, John McCain.  While he’s telling all of his ordinary supporters he got the message on amnesty, he’s still pandering to La Raza.  I haven’t seen this level of skilled, brazen deceit since McCain’s fellow Democrat Clinton was in office.

Gaze in awe upon the Master Maverick, and marvel at how well he gets away with being just another slippery politician while calling himself a maverick reformer.  You couldn’t do it better if you had a thousand years to practice.

With thanks to Michelle Malkin.

McCain Mavericks Own Economic Advisor

John McCain, proving once again that he doesn’t want ordinary supporters, mavericked Phil Gramm and distanced himself from the “nation of whiners” comment.  Sure, he could have used more tact, but Phil Gramm is still only an ordinary supporter, and not worth the time it would take for the Master Maverick to sneeze on him.

Now, compare the treatment to McCain’s courtesy when dealing with that entire party of his maverick supporters, his fellow Democrats.  He’s still trying to be reasonable with them as they hit him with everything but the kitchen sink, while throwing his own people under the bus at the slightest provocation.  He’s trying to lead by example, people.  McCain only wants maverick supporters, so why don’t you be one?

Let me remind you of the benefits:

  • It’s easier than being an ordinary supporter, because you don’t have to do anything helpful.
  • It’s on the cutting edge of a new era in politics, the maverick paradigm.
  • You’ll be giving McCain exactly the kind of maverick support he deserves, which helps keep the cosmos in balance, if you like thinking that way.  Otherwise, just remember that he has it coming.

How many times does he have to demonstrate it for you?  McCain only wants maverick supporters.  He demonstrates this with his tireless maverick example every time he deals with his ordinary ones.  So take the hint, and get on board.

McCain Just Makes You Angry for Your Own Good

The Master Maverick has honored me with his email ads recently, and in fact his latest video advertisement states much the same thing they do.  To paraphrase, “McCain is a bold and principled leader that always puts America first, regardless of who he angers”.  As his Bestest #1 Maverick Supporter in the Whole Wide World, who am I to disagree?

For does not America improve and grow as the Master Maverick’s personal glory grows?  Does it truly matter, the damage done to the 1st Amendment in McCain-Feingold, when measured against the forward movement of the ambitions of the great and noble McCain?  Does it make a difference that the McCain-Lieberman bill would have wrecked our economy with emissions limits, or that the serious problems of illegal immigration would have only been made worse in McCain-Kennedy?  Does his wishy-washiness about allowing drilling in ANWR or offshore, the obstruction of which contributes to the high price of gasoline now, really mean a damn thing?

No, it most certainly does not, so long as the Maverick Maverick could strut like a peacock before the nearest camera lens and proclaim:

“I am a maverick independent!  Gaze in awe upon my maverick greatness!”

None of it makes any difference, because McCain is all that matters.  He certainly thinks so.  Your rage and frustration don’t matter.  Long-term damage to the country with bad legislation doesn’t matter.  Certainly, all of those pesky ordinary conservative supporters don’t matter, because our country is uplifted immeasurably when puff press is granted to this unique Senator.  McCain just makes you angry for your own good, because he, unlike you, realizes that he is The End-All and Be-All of American Greatness.

If you don’t happen to believe that, you should be ashamed.  The fact he used you as a foil to build his maverick credentials should honor you.  The fact he noticed you existed should honor you.  Just ask his campaign.

The McCain-Clarke Spat

I suppose I should have weighed in on this controversy sooner.   However, if I had, I would have been caught in the back and forth of the attack and defense in the matter.  That means I might have been in the position of complaining on McCain’s behalf, and as his Bestest #1 Maverick Supporter in the Whole Wide World, that’s completely out of the question.

Still, it did occur to me that other maverick supporters of John McCain might want to know what to do.  Clearly, defending a man so intent on kicking his ordinary supporters in their tender, painful places is not within the realm of possibility, but attacking his military record is unthinkable.  Both of these are true, and the answer is simple.

If someone ever attacks McCain in the media, or politically, the proper maverick response is “So what?“  Simply don’t care either way.  After all, the man has worked hard to make maverick supporters, and deserves every bit of maverick support you can give him.  Therefore, any attacks he suffers after spending years appealing to the Democrats and media, who are now also interested in joining the maverick paradigm, are someone else’s problem, and not yours or mine.

As for his military record?  Never attack McCain’s military record.  It’s out of bounds, even for maverick supporters.  Besides, there’s plenty of other things about him you can give maverick praise, like:

  1. The McWaffling on ANWR, drilling, Gitmo, taxes, and anything else he’ll change for his own convenience as the election progresses.
  2. His much-beloved tendency to Speak the Profanity in Loud Tones in anyone and everyone’s general direction, except his fellow Democrats.
  3. The fact he would discard all other considerations for his well-deserved puff press.
  4. His constant spurning of ordinary conservative supporters.

So, remember the proper maverick response to all attacks on McCain this political season, and in all things, remember the top two finalists in the new YankMcCain.com motto contest:  Dehydrated Babies – Just Add Hot Water and Damn Eliot Ness, I’ll Veto the Beer!
