McCain’s Obama Rebuttal Mavericked by New York Times

By Ryan • on July 22, 2008

By now, you may have heard that McCain’s rebuttal to Obama’s Iraq Op-Ed was declined by the New York Times, because it didn’t sufficiently mirror Obama’s piece.  Being the maverick supporter of McCain’s that I am, I’m not going to publish it either for fear of being ordinarily helpful.  However, if McCain’s opinions actually mean anything to you, you can read his op-ed on the Drudge Report.

I would like to take a moment to revel in the profundity of this.  McCain has been so quintessentially maverick that he’s inspired his favorite newspaper, the New York Times, to join the maverick paradigm.  Yes, now they’re just like he is, or maybe they’ve been just like him all along.  If he could only get the conservative mediasphere to join him in the maverick paradigm as well, all will be right with the world.

What if everything is an illusion and nothing exists? In that case, I
definitely overpaid for my carpet.
