McCain Mavericks Own Economic Advisor

John McCain, proving once again that he doesn’t want ordinary supporters, mavericked Phil Gramm and distanced himself from the “nation of whiners” comment.  Sure, he could have used more tact, but Phil Gramm is still only an ordinary supporter, and not worth the time it would take for the Master Maverick to sneeze on him.

Now, compare the treatment to McCain’s courtesy when dealing with that entire party of his maverick supporters, his fellow Democrats.  He’s still trying to be reasonable with them as they hit him with everything but the kitchen sink, while throwing his own people under the bus at the slightest provocation.  He’s trying to lead by example, people.  McCain only wants maverick supporters, so why don’t you be one?

Let me remind you of the benefits:

  • It’s easier than being an ordinary supporter, because you don’t have to do anything helpful.
  • It’s on the cutting edge of a new era in politics, the maverick paradigm.
  • You’ll be giving McCain exactly the kind of maverick support he deserves, which helps keep the cosmos in balance, if you like thinking that way.  Otherwise, just remember that he has it coming.

How many times does he have to demonstrate it for you?  McCain only wants maverick supporters.  He demonstrates this with his tireless maverick example every time he deals with his ordinary ones.  So take the hint, and get on board.
