McCain has stepped up his attacks on Obama, and here are some examples of what he’s done recently

• McCain Attacks Obama’s Iraq Policies
• McCain waffles on affirmative action
• McCain waffles on offshore drilling

He’s really turning up the heat, attacking Obama on his stances and staking out positions on his own that are different from those of his fellow Democrat Obama.  And why shouldn’t he?  He’s been a better Democrat than Obama for years!  He was a Democrat before Obama was even elected to the Senate, and far more deserving of the presidency than Obama!  He deserves McCain’s righteous indignation!

Who does this Obama guy think he is?  Doesn’t he know McCain has done more good for the Democratic party than he could ever hope to do?  That some of the damage McCain has inflicted on their behalf is irreversible?  That he’s shown more hostility towards conservatives than Obama?  He doesn’t even bother to mask his contempt, and what does he get for thanks?  This Obama upstart comes along, with no experience, and thinks he would make a better Democrat president than McCain.

Preposterous!

You will never be a tenth the Democrat McCain is, Obama!  You’re not worthy to speak McCain’s name and the word “liberal” in the same sentence.  So show some deference to the far superior Democrat in this race, and let McCain be the Democrat president you never could.

There’s a fair amount of buzz about who McCain’s VP choice is going to be, and truly, I can understand.  Who wouldn’t want to bask in the political brilliance of the Master Maverick, and serve him as his VP?

The man is so profound, he’s despised by the bulk of his own party.  It’s jealousy over his political acumen, of course.  There is only one Master Maverick, who in his infinite wisdom, built his fortunes at the expense of his own base so he could gather the puff press he needed to pretend he was a real leader.

Now, he is the leader of the party he opposed for so many years, and gleefully driving his fingers into ordinary conservative eyes just as happily as he ever did.  No lesser mortal could have managed the feat.  Even those who support him are joining in the fun, and using sarcasm, belittlement, and marginalization tactics in an attempt to get the more reluctant ordinary conservatives to go against their better judgement.  Some of them may even do so, believing the years of forced capitulation to the Democrats’ agenda that he caused will stop.  They’ll believe it, even though it’s his chosen path to his well-deserved political glory.

So, I can’t imagine anyone not choosing to be McCain’s VP.  Four years to learn from the Master Maverick, and potentially carry their association with them around for the rest of their careers?  Could you resist?  What’s the sacrifice of all that pesky credibility anyway?  Just carry some antacid around with you in your jacket pocket, and you’ll be able to say every variation of ‘liberalism is conservatism’, just like Dick Cheney did about the Medicare Part B Drug Entitlement for Bush, in no time at all without nausea.

Whoever you choose, Master Maverick, rest assured I will be just as happy to sing their maverick praises as I am yours.  If they’re your choice, after all, they deserve all the maverick adulation I can give them.

Ok, I told you we had to apply some Straight Talk denial to Bob Barr and tell everyone he doesn’t exist, but he still won’t go away.  This means that clearly, you in the maverick paradigm aren’t denying him enough.

So, just to remind you, Bob Barr and the Libertarians don’t exist.  Even if I can point links to their web site just like this one, they aren’t there.  The truth never stopped the Straight Talk Express, and it certainly won’t stop McCain’s Bestest #1 Maverick Supporter in the Whole Wide World!

So, to further defeat the purpose of Bob Barr and his annoyingly existent campaign, here are a few more rules.

• Under no circumstances, post a link to his policy positions.  Someone might realize he has actual positions, and that they’re an improvement over those of the Master Maverick.
• Don’t link to his YouTube videos.  They actually show the guy speaking and being interviewed, which will really blow this whole Straight Talk thing out of the water.

So pick up the pace, maverick supporters.  Link to this post, and make sure everyone knows how to Straight Talk deny this Bob Barr guy.  There’s actually more of a point to his candidacy than McCain’s, and that has to stop.
