McCain Comments on Supreme Court Gun Ruling

McCain commented on the Supreme Court gun ruling today, and neglected to mention that he voted for two of the justices who tried to take these gun rights from us.  Not only that, he used the fact he supported Ginsberg and Breyer as a selling point when he met privately with a group of Hillary supporters.  He used plenty of solemn-sounding rhetoric too.

Yes, in yet more brilliant tactical waffling, McCain affirmed that he was glad we had retained our gun rights, right along with the free speech rights he attacked with McCain-Feingold.  His brilliant strategy will insure that the wishful thinking of ordinary supporters will be in full swing enough to get him elected, and then he can nominate the Ginsburgs and Breyers he loves so much to replace the future Supreme Court retirees.

Chris Cannon Attracts Maverick Supporters in Utah Primary

It’s good to see that the maverick paradigm is starting to spread.

Chris Cannon, an incumbent congressman from Utah, shared the Master Maverick’s open-borders sentiment.  As a result, he received his due share of maverick support, and lost to Jason Chaffetz in a primary challenge.

This is excellent news.  Now, one more maverick congressman has more time on his hands to sing the Master Maverick’s maverick praises.  Maybe he’ll even be in McCain’s cabinet.  Or his dresser drawer.  Or he may have earned the honor of being put in his closet.  Just so long as he’s some place McCain doesn’t have to hear him whine while he pursues his own interests, it’ll all be good.

Gingrich Acting Like a McCain Democrat

I can’t blame him, for certain. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be like the Master Maverick?  Moreover, who wouldn’t want to share in his penchant for using the demagogury and marginalization that got him this far?

In this particular instance, he’s talking about the candidacy of Bob Barr (who doesn’t exist, by the way).  His quote is “No reasonable conservative is going to vote for anyone but McCain”.  This means that even Gingrich is using demagogics and marginalization tactics, proving that with the right maverick leadership, McCain can turn anyone into his kind of fellow Democrat.

Don’t even get me started about singing the praises of this article’s writer.  You’d think the other 65% of the Republican party or so that went out of their way to vote against McCain was the just a tiny handful of “some die-hard conservatives”. Next thing you know, their own leaders will be calling them racist, sexist, bigoted homophobes.  I’m still waiting for his future vice-president to sing the praises of this tactical waffler’s deeply held beliefs before he suggests that we should let all of God’s children enter this country illegally and suck us dry.

It’s a beautiful day for the maverick paradigm.

McCain Not Really Waffling on Drilling for Oil

There is no waffiling. No waffling! Waffles! In an attempt to differentiate himself from his fellow Democrat Obama, McCain changed his position on drilling for oil off the coastlines of America.  Of course, he still supports the ANWR ban, because he would be consistent otherwise.

This can only mean one thing.  McCain has changed his focus from annoying people into becoming maverick supporters, and wants to use them to get elected first.  Of course, as his Bestest #1 Maverick Supporter in the Whole Wide World, I’m more than happy to assist the Senator in his quest to deceive millions of ordinary conservatives with their own wishful thinking as to his change of heart.

So, go with the action line.  Support the spin that he’s only changing his position to match the new facts.  Don’t let his personal history of not letting facts ever stop him before (such as pandering to the global warming crowd), or that he was talking about cap-and-trade while gas was around $3.50 or so, leak to the undecideds.  They might find out he’s taking positions for his own expediency.

Furthermore, don’t send him any maple syrup to go with his waffling.  Don’t presume that he’s just been mavericked by the Republicans on this issue, and is being forced to go along with them for once.  He’s not!  He would never submit to a Republican!  Never!  It’s all about McCain!
