The Master Maverick, John McCain is hosting three potential Coffee Fetchers at his home in Arizona this weekend.  Everyone else calls them Vice Presidential candidates, but we in the maverick supporter ranks know better.  Yeah, that Obama upstart is choosing one too, but I can’t be bothered to sing the maverick praises of lesser politicians.

How wondrous is the Master Maverick?  Read and gasp in awe.  He’s choosing between three people who know he’s the most despised politician on the Republican side, and they’re still willing to consider being his Coffee Fetcher.  Surely, they know the only function they’ll serve is to sacrifice their credibilities on the altar of maverickness?  I mean, they’ll be saying “amnesty is conservatism” in no time at all, and you’re welcome to comment with guesses as to how long that will take.

It’s just another demonstration as to why I’m the humble if slightly overwhelmed student of the Master Maverick.
