McCain Gets Obama’s Permission to Change Position on NC Ad
By changing his position on the NC ad, John McCain again revealed his preference for maverick supporters by caving to one. Furthermore, by stating that “I was interested that this morning Senator Obama said it was a legitimate political issue”, he’s inferring that he’ll ask Obama’s permission before campaigning against him. Read and decide for yourself:
Believing he actually cares if he has Obama’s permission is completely absurd, of course. I mean, McCain has never asked permission to maverick his own party and supporters as hard and as often as he pleased. Truly, my hero and idol has cost them first in a lifetime and once in a lifetime opportunities with no regard whatsoever for anything but building his own maverick credentials. So this must obviously be some sort of incomprehensibly brilliant scheme to lull Obama into a false sense of security, just like it was when he worked with all those Democrats in Congress for his incomprehensibly brilliant scheme to garner puff press.
Don’t even start commenting about how McCain never criticizes the other party, which would make him a Democrat with an “R” in front of his name and not a maverick independent. The fact this is backed with several years of history has no relevance. Do not look behind the curtain. These are not the droids you’re looking for. Do not make him Speak The Profanity in Loud Tones in your general direction.
